A large part of the history behind why Church of Pain ended up offering suspensions is Wings of Desire (WoD). This team is one of the (if not the very) best suspension team in the world.
WoD was founded in 2002 by Håvve Fjell as a branch of his acclaimed performance concept Pain Solution. With the insight and contributions of Christiane Löfblad—the owner and manager of Pinpoint Piercing in Oslo—and a dedicated crew of practitioners, WoD have set the standard for how suspensions should be executed over the years. It’s with the knowledge gained from WoD—and the other great teams we have met and worked with while traveling to suspension events worldwide representing WoD—that we base our suspension practice. Our goal is to contribute back to the greater suspension community by building on and sharing the knowledge that we have gained from facilitating suspensions with WoD and our friends from around the world.
Wings of Desire is still a big part of our lives, our hearts, our history, and always will be.
If you want to suspend with the wonderful WoD crew, they offer suspensions at their Suspension Sundays on the last Sunday of almost every month at the youth house Blitz in Oslo, their yearly Oslo SusCon event at Månefisken in Oslo, and private suspensions by appointment.
